2009 - Anderson & Gilbert, L.C. obtained gross distributions in excess of $3,000,000 for its clients in probate and heirship litigation during the year 2009. We represented heirs to intestate estates in more than 20 different circuit courts in Missouri and Illinois, and obtained a recovery in sixteen separate estates during this year.  

October 2009 - Paul Myre and Dennis Harms obtain a defense verdict in Jefferson County, Missouri, in favor of a physician and his corporation who were defendants in a medical negligence case asserting a failure to properly reduce an ankle fracture. After deliberating for less than one and one-half hours the jury returned a 10-2 verdict in favor of the defendants. The plaintiffs sought more than $500,000 in damages.  

May 2009 - Dennis Harms received the 2009 Award of Merit from the Young Lawyer's Division of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. Dennis was also elected to the Young Lawyer's Division's Executive Committee as a Member-at-Large.

April/May 2009 - Frank Duda and Dennis Harms distribute more than $1,000,000 to their clients in two probate matters in which their clients were adjudicated to be heirs of a decedent's intestate estate.

February 2009 - The St. Louis Chapter of the Better Business Bureau released its new rating system for local law firms, and Anderson & Gilbert, L.C. received a perfect A+. The new ratings were announced in the February 16, 2009, edition of Missouri Lawyers Weekly.

February 2009 - Joel Monson and Dennis Harms receive a favorable ruling from the Missouri Court of Appeals in an insurance coverage dispute case. Joel and Dennis obtained summary judgment in their favor from the trial court arguing that the policy unambiguously excluded from coverage injuries to an insured's employee and his spouse.

January 2009 – Frank Duda and Dennis Harms obtain a dismissal for their client in a toxic tort case alleging exposure to diacetyl, a chemical used in the manufacture of butter flavored microwave popcorn. The case was dismissed against their client only on the day they were to argue their motion for summary judgment.

January 2009 - Mike Lawder defended a truck driver and trucking company in a case of probable liability in the City of St. Louis where plaintiff asked the jury for $900,000, but received a jury returned a verdict of only $25,000, finding Mike's client liable for only a percentage of the award. The plaintiff's attorney filed a Motion for New Trial, but did not appeal and accepted the judgment.

December 2008 – Frank Duda obtains a settlement in a case under the Defense Base Act in which his client was exposed to harmful sulphur fumes while serving as a Department of Defense contractor in Iraq.

September 2008 – Frank Duda and Dennis Harms obtain a Judgment for their clients in a probate matter pending in the City of St. Louis. The Judgment entitles their clients to their statutory share of an estate valued in excess of $1.5 Million.

September 2008 – Frank Duda and Dennis Harms obtain a Judgment in favor of their 79 clients in an heirship dispute pending in Ray County, Missouri. The Judgment entitles their clients to more than $500,000.00 in proceeds from a pending intestate estate.

June 2008 – Frank Duda and Dennis Harms obtain a Judgment in favor of their clients in St. Louis County in a case in which their clients claimed to be heirs-at-law of a person who died without a will. The Judgment declared their clients heirs of the estate valued in excess of $500,000.00.

September 2007 – D. Paul Myre and Dennis Harms obtain a defense verdict in medical negligence case against orthopedic surgeon alleged a failure to diagnose and properly treat a post-operative infection. Plaintiff’s counsel requested a verdict in excess of $1 Million. Missouri Lawyer’s Weekly listed the case as one of the top 20 defense verdicts for 2007.
